I'm having a hard time figuring out what is what since the forum is in french. Is there any possibility of having some english? Here are some quick photos of some sheds from this year in Manitoba.

Hey Bobby and welcome on chevreuil.net!

Those are great shed you got there. I've found a few sheds this year with my best being a 5 point side of 125-130'' 10 point. Becuase of all the snow I didn't get to go out as much this year. A good buddy of mine found a 6 points shed this week end which seems to be from a 2½ year old. The time I should be using for sheds is actually going into turkey scouting and preparation of bear baits.

You have some awesome sheds, best of luck this coming season!

Hello Bobby, those are nice sheds you found there. Where are you from in Manitoba and are you hunting live deer or just sheds?

I've been in Saskatchewan last year and plan to hunt in Manitoba maybe next year.

How was the last winter around your place. I've heard that mortality was very high for a second year, especially fawns and mature bucks. Have you noticed a drop in deer numbers?

Welcome to the forum,

Marian

re: bullkiller

I am from western manitoba and I do hunt whitetails as well as shed antlers but have been unable to hunt for deer for the last several years due to moving around and work. This year will be a different story though. The last couple winters haven't been that bad, about 4 years ago there was 2 bad winters where there were lots of fatalities but not much since then.

re: antho

These are all sheds from this winter and spring so I won't be after them till fall.

Hi Bobby and welcome to the forum.

That's a nice set of sheds you found. I, like you, enjoy shed hunting, it's actually one of my favorite things to do spring time comes. I take my 2 girls out while trapping for beavers and muskrat and shed hunt at the same time as a family.

I wouldn't be too worried about writing in English on this forum as there is a lot of people that will be able to exchange with you. As far as using the proper sections for posting, don't worry about it as I take care of a lot of that stuff on here. I will move your posts in the appropriate section as I find them. I will probably let you know when I move your stuff so that you know where it's at, but unfortunately, I get forgetful or do things in a hurry and could forget, so don't always count on me for letting you know. As you get familiar with the forum, you will be able to post in the right section, that is, if you don't get to frustrated with the whole process as others have.

Just for info purposes, I live in AB and hunt both SK and AB.

Welcome again and please feel at ease on this forum.
